Day 2: The Real Test Begins

Day 2: The Real Test Begins

Testing day two of tirzepatide - the effects are becoming clearer and it is definitely not placebo.

Current Weight: 127.5kg (-2.5kg from start)
Energy Level: 7/10
Hunger Level: 2/10

Yesterday I wondered if this was just placebo effect. Today confirmed it’s not.

What I Ate

2:00 PM - Half a chicken lasagna from KnowEats. Again, I got to exactly half and felt completely satisfied. Not “I should stop eating” satisfied - genuinely full. Saved the other half.

8:00 PM - The other half of the lasagna. My body gave me that gentle hunger signal again, not the desperate “feed me now” feeling I’m used to.

12:00 AM - One can of tuna (72g) before bed. More psychological than physical hunger after a long work session.

Total calories: ~750

The Gaming Session

Spent about 2 hours on Warzone today. Had a solid headache afterward, which initially worried me - is this a Mounjaro side effect? Then I realized: I’ve gotten headaches after long gaming sessions before. The difference is now I’m hyper-aware of every sensation in my body.

The headache was likely just eye strain and neck tension from hunching over my setup. Nothing a bit of rest couldn’t fix.

Starting This Blog

Today I set up this blog. As a developer, I know the power of documentation. Data doesn’t lie, and I want to capture the real experience - not just the highlight reel.

Why document this publicly? Because when I was researching Mounjaro, I found too many sponsored posts and not enough raw, honest experiences. If you’re considering this medication, you deserve to know what it actually feels like day by day.

Mental State: Still Optimistic

No anxiety today. That’s actually significant for me - I usually have some background food-related anxiety. What will I eat? When? How much? That mental chatter is just… quieter.

I’m genuinely excited about where this leads. For the first time in years, losing weight doesn’t feel like I’m fighting against my own biology. It feels like my body and I are finally on the same team.

Tomorrow’s Plan

More of the same: listen to my body, eat when genuinely hungry, stop when satisfied. The KnowEats meals are working well - they’re balanced, portioned, and I don’t have to make decisions when my willpower is low.

Work schedule stays the same (3 PM - 11 PM Spanish time for my US clients). Gaming in moderation - maybe shorter sessions to avoid the headaches.

A Note on the Numbers

Yes, 750 calories seems low. Yes, I’m tracking everything. But I’m not forcing myself to eat more when I genuinely don’t want to. My energy levels are stable, I’m sleeping well, and I feel mentally sharp.

This is what Mounjaro is designed to do - reset your hunger signals. I’m following them.

Day 2 complete. This is the real deal.
